Treatment

How many sessions will I need?

Usually three for the under-eye, four weeks apart and repeated twice a year. For the face, usually two to three sessions about four weeks apart.

Does it hurt?

Most people feel a little discomfort. Your practitioner may use numbing cream.

When will I see results?

Results build over the weeks after each session and across the course. Individual results vary.

Is there downtime?

Some swelling is normal and usually settles within 7 to 14 days.

The products

What is the difference between Lumi Eyes and Lumi Eyes Pro?

Both are polynucleotides for the under-eye. Lumi Eyes is 2 mg/ml; Lumi Eyes Pro is 5 mg/ml, for deeper concerns.

Is Lumi a filler?

No. The Lumi injectables work on skin quality and are not designed to add volume.

What are the masks for?

Lumi Glow and PureExo are masks for aftercare at home, between treatments.

Who makes Lumi?

The Lumi series is made by Dermaren and supplied in the UK by LPG Clinics Wholesale, the authorised distributor.

Safety

Who should not have treatment?

Polynucleotide products are not suitable for anyone with a fish or shellfish allergy. Your practitioner will check your medical history first.

Can I have it if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

Talk to your practitioner. Treatment is usually not given during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

What should I do if I have a reaction?

Contact your practitioner. In an emergency, such as trouble breathing, call 999. Report side effects through the MHRA Yellow Card scheme.

Aftercare

What should I avoid after treatment?

No alcohol for 24 hours, no make-up for 48 hours, avoid direct sun for a few days and avoid the gym, saunas, pools and hot baths for a week.

Can I use a Lumi mask after treatment?

Yes, as aftercare at home, but not directly after treatment. Your practitioner will tell you when to start.

How can I make results last?

Wear SPF every day, keep skin hydrated, cleanse gently and repeat your course as advised.

Can I buy Lumi injectables myself?
